Thunderstorms predicted Southeastern Virginia 5/21/08 to 5/24/08
There is a gale warning off the Virginia Coast. The next three day may be chances of thunderstorms. From the national digital data base from NOAA Tuesday Hi 81° Lo 54° Chance of T-storms, Wednesday Hi 74° Lo 56°, Chance of Rain,Thursday Hi 74° Lo 54° Partly Cloudy, Friday Hi 68° Lo 56° Clear,Saturday Hi 70° Lo 56° Clear. Mild Thunderstorms and light rain are scatter now and it is damp outside... Today the wind speed is above 15 mph.Yes, It may be warmer today than over the past few days. However this means a warm front has finally reached a cold front which creates the atmosphere for thunderstorms, gail warnings, and an overcast view. Later on this afternoon 3:50 pm- 4:10 pm May 20-Well where I was this afternoon became dark and hazy fog-Severe Thunderstorm heavy rain followed by pea size hail about 4.3 miles from Portsmouth Virgina. Area is still in Sever thunderstorm Warning rt 58 closed east bound due to fallen trees. I do not know as of yet what will be the outcome of these storm fronts... Thanks
